NEW USGI Army PT new issue shorts These are genuine military issue, manufactured by Soffe...a government contractor, located in Fayetteville NC.
They are black, 100% nylon, elastic at the waist with a drawstring inside the waist. Inside is a small pocket. There is a liner inside the shorts, as is found in swimming trunks.
The legs turn up at the side in an angular fashion. On the right leg, just above the upward point is an elongated pocket that starts just above the upward point, goes down to the hem and closes with velcro.
On the left leg is the word "ARMY" in "REFLECTIVE LETTERS" for night running..

Iraqi Republican Guard Uniform - NEW. This uniform
(shirt/trousers/boots)is manufactured for and worn by the Iraqi Republican
Guard. This uniform (along with hundreds of others)was found in an Iraqi
military manufacturing/supply house inside of Baghdad. It appears to be a
Medium size. The quality of this uniform reminds me, in a sense, of the
military insignia that was so plentiful after the fall of the United
Soviet Socialist Republic. Both are made so cheaply that they could not be
reproduced profitably. This particular uniform has no markings whatsoever
and that is not unusual for items made in the Middle Eastern countries.
The shirt has epaulets and chest pocket; (2) flaps that are buttoned with
a single button. There are no lower pockets. Only two of the button holes
on the front of the shirt and neither on the pockets are cut large enough
to get the button through without some effort. We did not force them. The
trousers have two slash pockets on the front and a single patch pocket on
the right rear with a flap. The trousers have a unique method of belt
loops. There are wide flaps of material that are sewn to the waist of the
trousers. This is perhaps 3 inches long with a button hole in the lower
end which attaches to buttons sewn onto the trousers. These, when
fastened, make belt loops The material appears as though as mixture of
oxford cloth and feedbag material. It is a course feeling material and has
that fresh manufactured smell. On this pair of trousers, there is no
button hole made for the top button of the trousers, which utilizes
buttons for the fly. There are raw seams in some areas and this shows the
cheaply made methods of the regime. The boots are leather and again, very
cheaply made. The ones we have are a size 46 (European sizing). The
leather has a grainy texture and capped toes. These are grainy as well and
certainly could not be "spit" shined. They have a very thin insole
installed, made by Textron. There is not a marking on the boots to
determine where there were made, but it is believed that they are a
product of the regime as well. This may be one of the only opportunities
you will have to own a piece of history from this area of the War on
Terrorism, since Ebay will not allow Iraqi items to be sold on their site.
